  • What are the criteria for enrolling in Twice As Smart?
    To participate in Twice As Smart, students must be enrolled in grades K-12 and need additional academic support. The decision to accept a child into the program is at the discretion of the Director based on considerations such as available space, the composition and dynamics of the group.

 

  • How do I enroll my student in Twice As Smart and what is the cost?
    There is no charge for students to attend Twice As Smart.

  • How do children get to Twice As Smart?
    We are able to transport children living in Greenfield to and from Twice As Smart at no charge. For transporting children who live outside of Greenfield, please email twice.as.smart396@gmail.com.

 

  • Is Twice As Smart part of the Greenfield Public Schools?
    No. Twice As Smart is a private, not-for-profit educational program.

 

  • How is Twice As Smart Funded?
    Twice As Smart is funded through private donations, foundations, and corporate sponsors. We welcome your donations.

 

  • Are children required to take part in the religious life of Second Congregational Church in order to attend Twice As Smart?
    No. Second Congregational Church (SCC) rents meeting space for Twice As Smart, and provides dinner for the children on Tuesdays and snacks on Saturdays. Twice As Smart is not affiliated with any religious organization. 

 

  • How can I help?
    Volunteers assist in the classroom and play many roles in helping Twice As Smart thrive and survive as an organization. If you’d like to know more about volunteering opportunities, please send us an email stating your interests and abilities. twice.as.smart396@gmail.com

 

  • Is Twice As Smart a 501(c)3? Are donations to Twice As Smart tax deductible?
    Twice As Smart is not a separate 501(c)(3). However, Second Congregational Church is our fiscal sponsor, which means we are able to legally use their nonprofit status when we apply to foundations for funding. It also means that when you donate to Twice As Smart, your donations are tax-deductible. Please go to “DONATIONS” for more information about how to make a financial contribution to Twice As Smart.
